Artists, scholars, and other thinkers address the roles of museums and collections in identity-making and territorial representation, the increasing invisibility of the collection, productive and problematic processes of inclusion and exclusion, and an emerging distrust toward history in the contemporary art museum. As such, they speculate on both radical and tangible strategies for activation and sedimentation of collections in contemporary art museums in terms of architecture and scale, location and history, organizational model and display, research and collecting methodologies.
The first CAVE will be launched with a series of conversations at Art Brussels. The programme will be announced soon.
